Written by: Scott/The Three Rs Staff
In the past I've barked about everything from the communities around videogames to plugging bands that were relatively unknown of at the time. Most of all though, I posted a lot of videos. Embedding videos into posts serves as the best way to cure writer's block, and that's something I had a lot. As such, I've compiled a list of my favourite videos to be ever posted on this blog. Some were found by myself, others discovered by the rest of the staff. Enjoy!
1. Dee's Worst Video Ever Post
Dating back to April 28th, 2008. Dee posted this video quite pointlessly, possibly as a way to fill up space and get the blog going again. The video was apparently so bad that it has now been 'removed by the user'. Ouch. I can't even remember what it was about.
2. Dee's Boxman Plug
Did you know there was a time when YouTube's greatest comedy act 'Smosh' were relatively unknown? Neither did I. We caught onto Smosh's popularity early and still keep updated on their activities to this very day. Their music video about a man with a box for a head exemplifies the originality put out by Anthony and Ian, which is why it got featured all the way back in May 2008.
3. My 'Batman: The Musical' Find
This is in the top ten because of two key reasons: 1. It's an awesome example of my capacity to stumble upon completely random new things. 2. I like both musicals and footage from Batman Forever. Read the linked post and the video page for more details.
4. My Discovery Of 'Fallout 3, Wasteland Dancing'
What is there to say? The video included two of The Three Rs' most popular topics: Funky music and a popular videogame.
5. My Post On Every Class Being Different And All That
Click on the post full a full explanation. Its basically a great little Team Fortress 2 parody. Unfortunately, its since been removed due to a 'terms of use violation'. What the buggery?!
6. Faith's End Of Ze World Entry
Its an Internet classic - although obviously wasn't originally found on MySpace.

7. College Humour's 'We Didn't Start The Flame War', Stumbled Upon By Yours Sincerely
Any parody of Billy Joel's classic 'We Didn't Start The Fire' is a hit with me, but this one proved to be especially good. As Reload says in the comments, 'This is what the internet is truly like.'
8. PuGroll'd!
Another song parody, this time of Rick Astley's (Ashley's?) infamous 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. Its by the WoW Radio boys and basically describes my experience playing the game at 60/70/80.
9. Don't You Love A Sophisticated Side Ponytail?
We've always been about showcasing new bands to you guys here on The Three Rs and New Music Wednesday was made for entirely that purpose. While many of the bands we've featured have gone on to find fame and fortune, some remain strangely unknown. Take Natalie Portman's Shaved Head (yes, that's the band's name) as an example. As the video below shows: These guys are full of spunk, but never seem to have taken off. God knows why not, especially with a lead singer that hot. I could swear the video has actually gotten longer since my last viewing of it, too.

Check out this video for more random, nonsensical trippiness. No one gets eaten by Shamu the Whale in it, though.
10. Wombatlord's Musings On Indie Music
I should really mention that this list is in no particular order and I really just wanted to exhibit some of our funnier finds over the years. We finish today with a post originating all the way back from 2007. Its author is a name many of you will fail to recognise. Wombatlord was one of the 'big three' creators of The Three Rs and provided us with a few independent band plugs. One of these bands happened to be 'Mr. Hudson And The Library'. As in, the same Mr. Hudson who went on to work with Kanye West and produce a great album, 'Straight No Chaser'. This post was the closest this blog got to promoting new acts for the best part of two years and should be praised for it. The sole video in the post has been removed, but you can watch it here anyway.
That's all for now folks! Only two more posts to go before the big 1000!
